Congressman Bob Inglis (R-SC-4) describes how a revenue-neutral tax swap (untax labor, tax polution) is similar in principle to the fair tax (a consumption tax on all goods and energy in place of income taxes).

  • Fairtax says no business can really pay taxes -- cause they just pass the tax along in higher prices.

Okay But then Fairtax fine print has massive taxes on cities and states. They hide this crap -- cause they know its crap.

Page 148, The Fairtax Book: "The federal government itself will become a MAJOR taxpayer."

Fairtax had to pretend that government will pay about half its own revenue -- otherwise they would have to admit their tax would be 60%.

    Its pure bullshit

  • Fairtax is a gimmick - its not a serious plan.

In their fine print, they have huge new taxes that the government has to pay. Silly as hello. And deceptive.

For example, under this Fairtax, the STATE of California would have to pay almost 200 billion in taxes. And every city in it, also would have to pay.

Every city, every state would have to PAY this very high tax -- plus people have to pay.

But the taxes they pretend states cities have to pay - would be passed on.

    Its BS.

  • Hey partner -- you better check out the fine print in Fairtax. Did you know the fine print has every city, state, county, paying massive sales taxes?

As silly as it may seem -- Fairtax is based not just on taxing people with this tax, but also every government entity has to pay it.

Read the book page 148 "Even the federal government will become a MAJOR taxpayer". Also the Fairtax answer book, pages 138-142 , has all state and local government paying these massive taxes.
