Why should public schools be allowed to push their agenda against religion?

What is with people thinking that once someone invokes god for an atrocity we have no ability to say its wrong? We might not be able to prove it to the theist in question, but wrong is wrong. Its our duty to make a judgement call.

Sam destroys the views that ethics has no place in scientific studies, along with the views that there can not be morals without religion, and the secular views of moral/cultural relativism.

Thanks for these videos! Sam Harris is a HUGE, huge worldly inspiration for me. I can't say enough good things about him. As much as I love Dawkins, Hitchens, etc. I still hold Harris at a pedestal one tier higher than others. He's just so...hard to dislike.

Molleen Matsumura:
In my view, humanism relies on reason and compassion. Reason guides our attempt to understand the world about us. Both reason and compassion guide our efforts to apply that knowledge ethically, to understand other people, and have ethical relationships with other people.
