  • The floating tip can be cut from 10-12 weight floating lines or there are commercially available heavy floating tips for Skagit lines.

  • you obviously don't know much about a long line, if you did, you would know your comment about not being able to get far enough away from the bank to form a d loop, is entirely false-

    The skagit system is the most limiting line system by far.

  • @StcroixNick you can buy floating heads too, I know Airflo makes a floating poly leader

  • What do you use at the end of the skagit head instead of a sinking tip ? because i'm having a spey rod designed for skagit but I don't really fish with sink tip
