omg, I don't wanna go get this done. I have a 16 cm cyst on my left ovary... it scares me that the doctor seems so rough. I really don't want to get cut open!!!

I think the doctor was rough. Felt like the surgery wasn't performed on a human being. But som kind of animal. Don't they supposed to use gauze instead of towel?

@marimassacre25 Oh hey don't worry, you'll be just fine :) This kind of surgery is routine for women who have cysts that are too large. They do this to avoid any possible complications. . Just like Myeshia said, the worst part is recovery, which is the walking around part, but they will give you great pain meds lol and you will recover quickly. Mine went well. Now iam 23, I've been cyst free :) Good luck with the surgery and you'll feel loads better :)

@marimassacre25 i had one removed when i was 14 years old. i'm 24 now. don't worry too much. technology has come a long way. the only two things that suck is that they try to get you to walk almost immediately and you have to make stool before they can release you.
