I totally agree. I loved it that when I was a kid my Mom would dress me with pretty dresses, gloves, hats and little purses. She did my hair up pretty too. I love it how the ladies wore all of the accessories and looked so nice.

my mom worked at disneyland...back then she had to wear white gloves, a tweed wrap, and heels. She used to say the Disney hostesses were really just like air hostesses. She used to love working Sundays because she said the 'after church crowd made Main Street shine.' I still have a picture of me and my brother with Mickey Mouse, circa 1970, and there we were in our ties and slicked back hair.

Wow, my dream is to work at Disneyland for at least a summer or so. I have heard the pros and cons of working there. I have a picture of me with Alice in Wonderland from around 1970 too. I need to get that picture from my Mom :)

Look at what the riders are wearing. The 60s were more screwed up than I thought if you had to wear a SUIT to Disneyland. Now go there in shorts, t-shirt, sneakers, and the irreplacable fanny pack.

I would'nt call it screwed up. At least people had some class back then.

You wear a fanny pack? That's a little screwy itself... I always make fun of people with those on :D

Needless to say, it wasn't forced, just thought of. Kind of if you go to a Broadway show or something. You're expected to dress a little nicer than casual wear. Besides, I wouldn't mind not seeing "butt cracks and cleavage" all day long. Or the kids that look like mini prostitutes...

Like the dolls being much more static now, some props disappearing, better lighting, Disney Characters, and the new America Room.

This is one of the 2 things I remember about the World's Fair. The other was the mirror maze by the shoe shine stands.

It is awesome that you got to be there. Have you been able to go on the ride again at Disneyland or Disney World? If so, how did it compare? The mirror maze sounds fun too. Like an old-time carnival.
