Nice playing.

Nice playing but you should use more of the bow. You're just using the top for most of the tune.

My mother is a Hammonds. Edden Hammons was my great-grandfather's great-uncle.
Nice fiddlin'!

Did I hear a little blues/rock tone in there? Cool.

Sounds great man.

Fantastic -- you have created a great version of this tune! Best tradition of folk music -- carry on!!!

Brother you sound pretty good. All I can say is you just need to practice the rhythm of the song a little bit

Awesome. One of the best versions I have heard. Who is the wuss arguing about the A part? Sounds like a Yankee Clifftop weanie. There are no rules in Old Time. Play it the way you feel.

I'd been thinking about taking up the fiddle.... now that's a must. Many thanks Chris

Ah, you again. I'll be sure try to play it the "correct" way next time.

By the way, where'd you get the sheet music for Greasy Coat?

Hi, I learned this tune from hearing lots of folks playing it over the years. I don't think I've ever seen sheet music for it, but it may be available out there somewhere.
