The Siddis have adopted the Indian customs and language, and over the years, certain prejudices have worked to further isolate them. So, have they sought to be empowered as a marginalised community, are there any efforts to help them join the mainstream national Indian psyche? Citizen TV's tom Mboya was in India and takes us into the silent world of the Siddis.
I must admire the effort put in to create this documentary. Had it not been for this video that I accidently stumbled upon, I would not have known about Siddis. Interesting is the life of human migration. Some out of need and some out of greed of others..It is unfortunate that ancestors of Siddis had to leave their motherland and I sympathise with the difficulties faced by this group in India. Reservations are only good if it truly help such people who are genuinely at a disadvantage.

@Utadowot It IS the world largest democracy, doesn't mean it's going to be a perfect one.
Most post-colonial nations around the world are ***ked up.. India is not exception, but it's doing a better job than most in combating poverty considering the huge load of people it holds.

never can understand the hindii religion that maybe allows this practice,.
still we got a caste system in soem ways between rich and poor, you never see a kid from poor areas ever going to university in any countries, or please tell me of a country that give the poor free university education,.

India is a very discriminatory caste based society. Some of the lower caste blacks commit suicide due to the discrimination. They get educated and can't get jobs, people spit on them etc.
