I'm in China on my last day heading to the airport from downtown Shanghai. Normal car transportation would take 45 minutes. This crazy speed-demon train travels at a land speed of 430 km/hr, gets to the airport in 7 minutes!!!!!

  • Greta ride but if it cost$15 billion for the Chinese to build this rail system then you know with all of the labor unions in the U.S. it will cost $150 billion to build here so it would not be feasible for our country. Government Motors builds cars in China for a lower cost then in the U.S. yet makes bigger profit just because they don't have to deal with all of the labor unions.

  • It's a shame that a problem like this limit our ability to expand and grow as a country

  • dam!!! that's 268 MPH!!! pls correct me if im wrong.......

  • Yep! You are correct. I am with you 100% that we need this train system from LA to Las Vegas. Man, I could be going to Vegas every other week. Anyhow, feels good to be the fastest man in Orange County, unless someone else in OC can claim they have gone faster.

  • Very cool. But it would have been nice if you just pointed the camera out the window and called the speeds out.

  • It's not supersonic. It's actually only Mach .35

  • Der tgv könnte 517 km/h fahren , aber das währe unwirtschaftlich! Sagt sncf !!!

  • @fdoca Not right now. Now they have billions of debt and liability. They would built conventional high-speed rail instead and intercity Maglev project had cancelled. By the way it is still a challenge when China is going to built a rail connected to Singapore.

  • It's a levitated train D: its like anti gravity from the track maknig it travel fast

  • @curlytops7 1 mile is ~ 1.6 km

  • @Arurnal

China is not far ahead in technology or even ahead. This is an area the US simply has not been involved in.

  • @warpspeedfd

never stopped us from spending much more on freeways.

  • Now China has a 502km ph train recently.

China is developing a vaccum train, its save, can go 1,000km ph and more.
