KRS speaks the truth!

@N8Kanu True indeed. Many people are way too busy partying and bullshittin' to even think that there is something that is much more important that that.
-
@akimali That's becouse a lot of rappers are in movie that they are gangsters :)

It really blows my mind how anyone could dare say that Tupac or Biggie are the greatest in front of these two brothas. Granted Chuck D was not a conventional "solo artist" but his voice and flow alone were sick one of the sickest ever! One of the few brothas who could not rhyme but still sound dope! "I got a letter from the government, the other day. I opened and read it, it said they were suckas!" KRS ONE...NUFF SAID!!!
That's precisely the problem.
Battling is cool and all but all of these corporate-manufactured 'beefs' have kept current emcees from organizing & cooperating as a unified voice for hip hip,the black community & the labor class(the tradtional rap audience)and instead you have an endless cycle of new talent worshipping at the throne of free-market competition.

@thirdshift47 Well put indeed but I have to add to that really none of the recent capable rappers have made a real effort to organize an honest movement in that direction. Also the audience of music in general isn't really interested in using music as a vehicle for a movement anymore. People whether they are fans or artist both need to make that happen because the corporations never will because it's not in their financial interest to do so.

Damn. This is a holy ass union. Two icons of rap on one show! I didn't have cable back in the day so I missed this. This is like that Malcolm and Martin photograph on Do The Right Thing, but in motion! Awesome vid man!
