  • Hmm why not add a steerable tail wheel? Unless the kids need exercise there! lol

    Nice thought, but then you'd need brakes and the weight would go up and up. Wing walkers are there as a safety precaution at an airshow.

  • What's wrong with flap for take-off. Split flaps on this aircraft produced 6 times the lift on the take-off run. Makes no sense to me to be staggering around on little wheels when you can leave the ground and fly away. Go get some dual in an Auster with a good Auster pilot and you will see what I mean.
