On November 27th, 2011 Stanford Law School's Center for Law and the Biosciences hosted Nita Farahany, a professor at Vanderbilt Law School and member of the President's Commission for the Study of Bioethical Issues, and UCSF School of Medicine's Stephen Hauser for a discussion on the work of PCSBI, including it's investigation of U.S. sponsored "research" infecting vulnerable Guatemalans with venereal disease, Democratic oversight of synthetic biology and protections for human research participants.
