@lahmamamia I believe apple has started to fix hinge issues and screws falling out on the old airs. Also, they offer free replacements if the rubber on the bottom of your macbook starts to fall off. My sisters hp wont get fixed for free despite having a well known motherboard issue that causes black boots dating back to 2007. we bought the computer in 2010.
