I have seen the same exact problem in the Apple Store. One thing is for sure Macbook Air hinges are light and cheap

Any zombie that bought that piece of shit deserves what they got.

That happened to me and my screen came off

@luisqo so what happened ? do they fix it? im from mex too..

Apple addresses this problem for Free... I had a 2 year old Air whose hinge broke and it was even out of warranty, but Apple took it and in 2 days replaced the entire screen..
You need no warranty, just make sure that there is no external damage.

@damiantymkiw there is. It's just separate. I use my MacBook Air for business and travel with it a lot. I chose it because it's tiny, lightweight and it's exactly what I was looking for. If I do use a CD etc. I can, but don't have to have a bigger laptop that includes a drive in the body of it.

The hinge of my MacBook Air broke tonight! I heard a big crack (all I did was open it) and the left hinge had completely separated and the plastic had come apart near the hinge. I can't completely open or close it now and now when I try there is nothing. It has a full charge. I only got it at the end of Aug. last year. I got it in the UK, but now I'm back in Canada (there is no Apple Store in this province) so I have no idea what's going to happen!

I bet you dropped it. That happened to my normal macbook after it fell off my bed.
