i used to live in newton stewart not to far from glentrool, i used to love visiting there for walks and the scenery, i really miss this part of the world, i wish i never moved back to perth but i get down to the newton stewart area when i can, to me this part of galloway is home for me and always will be.

When you live in a place you tend to ignore the scenery unfortunately. Hope you get the weather when you come up in August, we are due a decent summer. Hope we bump into you, you can tell us the secret of not letting the midges bother you, we've stayed round here for 40 years and they still annoy us :( Take care, hope to see some more videos soon.

Thanks for posting! I am planning a trip to the area and was wondering what to expect! Just what I needed!

We're on holiday at this very moment and it's magic. If you like walking, cycling and climbing mountains its definately the place to be.

Well done Jayne !! I am a local at Glentrool, you make it look very nice. If you ever hear the sound of the pipes playing then I'll not be far away. How did you manage with the midges though....lol . Well done once again.

Thanks, Glentrool is nice in fact it's a wonderful place. The midges didn't really bother us. We'll be back in August, staying in the village again. Can't wait to do the Loch Trool walk again and this time we're going to do Merrick. We love it there. I'm very envious that you live there.
