Hi, great video by the way, really informative and well thought out. i tried this at home with normal garlic you buy in the shops, and i did the same method as you by having crushed cloves in simmering/boiling water with an inverted lid over a collecting bowl in a sealed pot. the result i got was a white cloudy liquid, with an abnormal garlic smell, which doesnt feel oily, and tastes sweet with an after taste of garlic. is this simillar to your result? or have i messed up? thanks a lot, Ed

wow, you're HOT

@VindictiveValroze I think he confused masticate with macerate.
-
@lesrap Yeah...like when he uses "macerate" , which means "to steep in a liquid until soft", instead of "mash", which is what he's actually doing....

With a few more considerations, this same set up could be used for distilling rosewater, hard liquor, etc.
I've been enjoying your videos all day.
thanks!

Is it practical to cook with essential oils like what you produced?
-
It's pronounced that way by most people I know from the states. But everyone I've met in the U.K. (including me) says it with the 'H' sound.

There's various ways to pronounce it.
