I have played all three and there is no comparison in a live or studio setting for that matter. The Porchboard bass is where it is at. The customer service alone is worth the price.
I think stompboxes have their place, but the price of these models is way too high. Check out all the videos on making your own. With a piezo and some blocks of wood you can make one that will sound as good for about $25US or less.
I don't know how anyone could say these are not useful, they sound exactly like a bass drum and I find those pretty useful in almost every musical setting. Although I thought the first one sounded a bit thin but the other two, especially the porch box sound great.
Nah, I wouldn't say that... for a street musician like me this could be very helpful actually. I could give myself that beat, loud and solid without actually having to stomp very hard. The one where you can use both feet could prove very interesting, actually.
it actually does if the right artist is using it. which he isn't! it gives the music depth take a look at seasick steve he is incredible he uses this kinda thing!

I like the Ellis, it's great sounding, simple and well priced.

Strictly speaking, it's not a review, it's a demonstration. I was hoping for an opinion on build quality, sound, etc, but nada.

One of these could be really useful to a working solo acoustic guitarist.

See Pip Watford, she does that with a Loop Station and it sounds great for what it is.
