Nope, totally different company. Although Mazda Motors did exist in the 1950s, they were virtually unheard of outside of Japan. Additionally, they weren't even making cars then, only 3-wheel utilitarian motorbikes.
No relation to Mazda cars.

I think Mazda brand is the old name of Toshiba light bulb, Japanese electric company.
Mazda is not the name for any Japanese. It is the name of god (of light).

They were owned by Associated Electrical Industries , a UK company. When we actually made things like light bulbs ourselves.
