Here's a short video about two of our house rabbits, William and Calendula. They're best friends and love to play, snuggle and explore with each other. William is a 3-pound Netherlands Dwarf; Calendula is a 4.5 pound American Chinchilla-dwarf mix.

If you have pets you love to talk about, join us at Wunderchins Forums: http://www.wunderchins.com/bbs and Nick's Animal Place Forums: http://www.nanimalplace.proboards41.com

Their video is set to Yael Naim's song "Strange World"

  • Nick. lol No she's not part chinchilla. She's a rabbit. American Chinchilla is a breed of rabbit that is named for the color and softness of fur. It's used mainly as a meat source and is currently endangered. One of Calendula's parents is an American Chinchilla Rabbit, and the other one is a dwarf rabbit. "Chinchilla" is also a color of cat. :)

  • Oh! No, there's a breed of rabbit that's called American Chinchilla because the coloring of the fur is similar to a grey chinchilla. :)

  • mine is Giant chinchilla Mix, (its mixed with New Zealand White) for meat purposes.

cut story short, i was looking for a baby flemish giant, but i got tutu(the giant chinchilla mix) instead. i almost gave up on him for he is really stubborn, but in the end.. he is one of the most abnormal-est and coolest rabbit i know!

i still am wishing for more, hehe.. i want to hug him and i want him to stop struggling, but il be patient!

  • i just got a registered american chinchilla rabbit...yes it is a breed and yes its endangered....there are 2 types of chins..american and Giant....they are raised for meat...and when shown they are based on quantity not quality

  • SO CUTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • So your rabbits really part chinchilla? cool!

  • Chinchillas and rabbits can be mixed? OMG Not natural why?
