  • @dwerke Hi Uwe I have an Alvis Leonides Major 14 cyl for sale it came from Royal Navy stores has been rebuilt and inhibited. It is in North Yorkshire.

    Regards Trevor.

  • Hi Uwe, not much in the way of big radials around, you could try "craigslist", they sometimes have interesting bits and pieces - they had a V12 Allison the other week. Pity about the propeller, I really need one. Hope you get your engine sorted, regards, Kev.

  • @TheOverbank Hi Kev, thanks for your information. I installed a mechanical driven gasoline pump, which comes from russian M14p radial engine. It seems to deliver a little much pressure, but it is possible to reduce the pressure by adjustment. I also have a ground-running project, as you can find in my chanal. But I didn`t bought the propeller. It was offered seperately and was sold for 550 EURO. By the way, does anyone have another kind of radial engine for sale to me, probably a bigger one? Uwe

  • @dwerke Hi Uwe, the engine in the Sycamore helicopter, which is similar, quotes 10 psi for start up, then 23 -27 psi when running. Hope this is useful. I don't suppose you know if the propeller from your engine is still available? I need one for my ground running project. Best regards, Kev.

  • Hi.

I have a question to you.

I`m owning an Alvis Leonides 503/7A 9 cyl.

and now want make it starting.

Could you remind how much pressure the

gasoline pump need to supply (from the tank

    to the injection pump)?

It would be great if you could tell it to me.

    Thank you.

    Yours, Uwe Wulf
