Maybe not from Martin but there are some handmade gems out there from small builders that give the prewars a good run.
Cheers!

I love all the comments from people who don't own one. Yours is very similar to my 43 Herringbone in color and I have waverly tuners which are a great replacement to my orginial wartime plastic tuners. Great guitar and welcome to the club. There are many great guitar makers out there but none of theirs have been around for 80 to100 years.

@sitkatop That because that guitar is much older! Wait until 2040 you will think the 2010 models sound awesome.

'This is an original guitar, apart from the bridge'........ so it's not all original.
-
I suppose I would be this smug if I had such a guitar in my possession.

Well, it was a nice lady to have on my lap, but slightly too woody and mature to bring out all of my my erotic preferences. Besides, now it is another guy's lady and I wouldn't dare challenging a guy with that kind of financial resources by screwing things on YouTube. So I hope yo are not scared anymore :-)

WAY WAY WAY to trebly (maybe it was the mic, idk?). Sounds more like a taylor than a Martin. Where was the nice warm tone that a Martin is known for? I didn't like how that sounded at all and I am a Martin fanatic and a proud Martin owner (DX1R).

Well, you know, this "recording" was made on my iMac. Using both the camera and microphone "onboard". And that sounds a bit tinny...
