The New Orleans Saints 1984 highlight film 'Hold on to your dream'. Little did one know we would have to hold on for 25 more years. Owner John Mecom's last year & introducing new owner Tom Benson. See Hokie in his prime and Bum's 'good old boy' coaching style...
I loved the Saints unis with the white pants/black jerseys, and their black pants/white jerseys. They should return to both combinations.

@plntntvzn: Too bad those late-80's and early-90's teams didn't have Young. They could have used a guy like him.

@rocketman6464 Hokie Gajan was a fireplug with strong legs with enough of a burst on draws and other inside plays. He was a Rocky-type overachiever, strong, quick, and determined with excellent vision and anticipation. He also excelled as a blocker.

#89 Tyronne Young was an inviting target at 6'6", 192, and had had good hands, agility, and leaping ability. he was particularly effective on quick ups where he could use his size to his advantage. He would catch in traffic, but lacked discipline in his routes & did not have as sturdy a build as he would need to last in the NFL. A knee injury before 1985 ended his NFL career.

In 1984, a day of specialized tight ends, Hoby Brenner stii had the total package: he could block, catch and run. That year, he had a startling 19.8 per catch average, along with six touchdowns. At 6'4" & 240 pounds, Brenner was a great target, knew how to hook into the seam down the middle, and was a devastating blocker.
