I hate state ref tickets

I hate to say it guys, but Pre-75 cars may be your answer.
Sounds like a modified exhaust. Well, claim its been replaced due to rust. :P
Looking for a modified intake... Who can tell with that round filter on a carb?

thats realy fuck up shit

(continued from my first comment)...if the officer's PRIMARY duty is to conduct an investigation for stolen parts, he has the legal right to search the engine bay (sec. 2805. california vehicle code 2008 abridged edition). HOWEVER, the officer pulled me over on grounds of having a modified sounding exhaust. keep your hoods closed. even if you do have a modified exhaust, thats where the ticket stops. this has been verified by a police sargeant from another district. im fighting it in court.

okay, now maybe someone can answer this for me... i was pulled over for having a modified sounding exhaust. he ASKED me if i could pop my hood, and i told him i wasnt going to, he then threatened to tow my car. i said "you cant, and you cant pop my hood, you cannot search my vehicle without my consent or a warrant" so... he calls for backup and they pull me out of the car and pop my hood anyway. i purchased a CA vehicle code book, and it says the officer can look at your engine and tranny...
People need to give salinas pd a break. They wouldn't need to be hard asses if they didn't have to deal with all the bs and douches salinas is filled with

They can give you tickets you cant fix. Meaning you can't drive the car until you can prove it is in compliance.
