Just got this exact keyboard last month, and it is awesome. The Cherry MX Blues are a bit easier to type on than the buckling springs of my Model M, at least for me once I got used to them. A tad less "effort" I guess. I'm not the biggest fan of the glossy surface, but it's an incredible keyboard for both typing and gaming!

The Das Keyboard does not use a buckling spring mechanism. It uses Cherry "MX blue" switches, which have a distinctly different sound and feel. Real Model M keyboards with buckling spring keys are now being made by a company called Unicomp, who acquired the design rights from IBM/Lexmark.
