Planning is vital to successful game development, without proper planning, there is no game. This stage usually takes a long time, depending on the game, can take months or more. In this video, watch as I work on part of the Technical Design Document. Then I move onto mapping out some of the gameplay mechanics and wiring the software engineering that will be needed from a programmer's perspective in order to begin designing and implementing a prototype. You also need to create a Game Design Document, but I don't show it in this video. I like to do both, focusing the tech doc on programming and engineering only subject matter, and the game design doc focuses more on art, story, content, ideas, etc. The idea here is to create a game (hopefully a good one) for the Unity game engine.
cheers man im undergoing the design process and this was really helpful
