Joe Rogan gives his insight on health, drinking and making the kale shake that Kevin James turned him on to, and his daily vitamin supplement regimen. From VIDEO BLOG #12 at www.joerogan.net.

I've tried the shake myself and it is quite doable. I also put cranberries and swap out pears for apples, and I also like adding fresh orange. Flavor it with the type of fruit you like and you can get it down. Think of it as medicine, or as Joe says a "TASK". It's not going to be like a milkshake, but the power you get is well worth the taste and effort. Thanks for posting this Joe!

If you can't afford the expensive Vitamix, this can work in a regular blender you just have to add some water or liquid of some type and stir well. Cheers to health!

  • 2 People don't like health!...LOL

  • Hey can anybody advise me....is it better to buy loads of different vitamin tablets and fish oil tablets....or is it better to buy a multi vitamin tablet which includes all the vitamins and fish oils etc.

I'm confused, why would joe rogan not just have a multi vitamin instead of buying all those vitamins and fish oils etc.

  • @skittleszy There is really no one-size fits all approach. Everyone is different, their habits, tendencies, bodies. I personally prefer to attempt to get all my nutrients through a well balanced diet, "super foods"(Wheat-grass Shots), healthy oils in food prep(Hemp Seed Oil, EVOO, Coc Oil), and an occasional multivitamin. I do this because it suits me. I think Joes approach is good as well, I just can't do the number of pills he does.

  • @iamgobbler recommend depends on the brand, I take 3-5 fish oils a day, and 3 multivitamins... Different brands defer from intake...

  • @iamgobbler sum people jus like to load up since u cant overdose on most supplements so some ppl think the more they take the better, kinda like vitamin c, most bottles of 500mg tablets say only take one a day but i no alot of ppl that take upwards of 2000 to 3000 mg every day

  • iHerb discount code SEP790

  • can someoen tell me why it says on bottles of multivitamins and fish oils to only take 1 pill a day when joe takes like 7

  • you can definitely get away with using a cheap blender, you don't need a vitamix. i use a total piece of shit blender that i have had for years, just takes longer cos i have to chop up the kale and celery a bit, and mine is not as smooth as Joe's looks, but it is drinkable and tastes pretty good considering what's in it

  • Oh and don't forget some ice! Otherwise it will be room temp to warm after blending.

  • I add an orange and some filtered water to my kale shakes. I don't like when they're too thick.
