PFOX's Wants Richard Cohen In The Schools

Parents and Friends of Ex-Gays (PFOX) is teaming up with anti-gay legal groups to intimidate GLBT campus organizations in high schools, colleges and universities. They are threatening to sue if these organizations don't distribute literature featuring the bizarre theories of Richard Cohen.

It is hard to believe, but Cohen is the former President of PFOX. They still promote his books and training sessions. His writings appear on PFOX's website. And, if you ask for a speaker - they will likely send you Mr. Cohen - who was expelled for life from the American Counseling Association.

If PFOX tries to get into your school, simply show administrators this clip of Cohen from the documentary, "Chasing the Devil." It is clear, based on this clip - and his record - that disseminating PFOX's material may put students at risk. Any responsible school that protects its students will not allow PFOX anywhere near campus.

@senjara in a high amount cases yes, but i know it's not 100% of cases.

@lekesha00 See that´s the problem, People still think that it is a "lifestyle". Being gay is not a lifestyle and is not something people choose.

@senjara also there are men who go to jail and engage in gay sex to pass the time. this also tells me that homosexuality is soemthing that is more experimental is anything, not intended to be a lifestyle. the people that go to dr. cohen understand that.

@lekesha00 Just because they end up with a woman doesnt make them any less gay...Over the years, and after 100 of sessions with Dr. Cohen they´ll realize the mistake they made, and not only hurt themselves but their whole family, like in many many so called Ex-gay cases...After hundreds of years sciencie still dont have a clue about the origins of homosexuality, therefore it has nothing against it, If theres nothing wrong with it why do people still deny this?

@lekesha00 Maybe it applies to some individuals, but not in most cases. I still think is not okay for society to point fingers and say that being gay is wrong, Teenagers and people even commit suicide because they grow up believing theryre evil individuals. I think is better to give them rights, give them the same opportunities in life, and support and accept them...All these therapies i believe they do more damage than actual good...It seems where going in circles jajajaj

@senjara i have seen shows where muslims who struggle w/ their sexuality and over time w/ therapy, they go back to a happy healthy man/woman relationship. it can be done in most cases. dr. cohen seems to do the best he can.
