the person in the coffin is Jack.
He dies after Darth Vader reveals himself to be his father and he gets hit in the face with rosebud. Now only haley joel osment can see him because it turns out that Christian Bale has a twin brother.

Ya Lost is really confusing somethimes, lots of things to remember. After this call you see here Faraday, Miles and the ginger chick lands on the island with their parachutes. and.. um.. Jack wants to go back, because Ben manages to brainwash him. Theres nothing but bad memories back on land for him, and he cant stop thinking about the people left behind. And he starts to belive in John Locke. lots of things to explain, can't remember everything : C But i hope this helped at least a bit
