Wing Chun Training

This is Ben Jacobsen with a video response to Sifu Zeigler's "Training In Kaaawa, Hawaii. I just watched this video and I have to say I was very impressed. Several things struck me about this video right from the start.

First of all, what an absolutely beautiful place to train in! The energy to be found in training in this kind of location must be so beneficial to your martial art!

I would also like to say that training in the sand is very beneficial for your stance and building power in the legs. Having your feet buried in the sand while you are practicing will help to create tremendous strength in the legs!

I have to say that anyone in Hawaii who is interested in training in Wing Chun Kung Fu should check out Sifu Zeigler in Kaaawa!

Thanks for watching my video response! Look forward to speaking more later - have a good day and train hard!

  • I have not done Wing Chun on the beach before (I've always been in mountain areas). I did wonder about the sand and the effect it would have on my Wing Chun training. I bet it offers wonderful challenges, that we don't normally see when we train on concrete or hardwood floors.
