1989 Corvette Z51 ZF6 6speed, FX3 suspension, J55 big brakes, TPI fuel injection with Accel base and runners, 58MM BBK throttlebody, GM performance patrs LT4 HOT Cam, Crane 1.6 roller rockers, Lingenfelter headers, Flowmaster exhaust, ported aluminum heads with Manley SS HiFlo valves, titanium retainers, Crane H11 springs. 10 1/2 pistons, Eagle rods, 4-Bolt main block.
I drag raced the car one time, made just one run.
Ran 12.96 @ 109.3MPH at Raceway Park, Englishtown NJ on SLP performance day 2002. Throttle response is instantaneous and plenty of low end torque with the heavy dual-mass flywheel.

  • are you useing the stock computer with a tune of a stand alone fuel system

  • @301connor

Its just the stock computer with a custom EPROM tune, and larger fuel injectors, very simple setup that runs perfectly.

  • don't suppose you'd want to sell it???

  • Yes I do, since I never drive the car.

Too bad you live in Australia and I live in New York! LOL

  • Hey nice car man.I have a question for u..when u put headers on the car did u talk to anyone and ask them if it was better to run stright pipes or to redue the exhaust but in stock formate....

  • Yes I did. The Lingenfelter headers came with a Y-Pipe which goes into a single 3" test pipe for racing. I use a 3" cat converter on the street. That exits into a Flowmaster Y-Pipe then into dual Flowmaster mufflers with chrome tips.

This setup went high 12"s at 110MPH on my car. A nother Vette with the same exhaust and a supercharged TPI went 11.6's at 120MPH. I'm sure you don't need dual exhaust to make power!

  • @rprindl I live in California, so i will drive to new york with a 2011 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 Supercharged. The supercharger had been replaced with a procharger f2. It sticks out of the hood a bit. I will have a tower in the back to tow your corvette. Would you mind?

  • sounds nice... I have a 89 vette motor-L98-- that im putting in my 87 iroc,..

i want to do some work to it b4 putting it in, i was thinking of porting the alum heads and the LT4 Hotcam Kit with the 1.6 rockers.. how much of a HP gain would i see from that??? thanks

  • @rprindl

You know whats funny to me. The seats in your 89' C4 vette are better than the seats in my 07' C6! My seats are comfortable but, they lack support. They're made for comfort only. The C4 had something good going with their seats and they screwed it all up in 97' when the C5 was built. Actually, your seats are better than a brand new 2012 ZR1 corvette... as they are basicly the same seat I have LOL. I'd say it's time for an upgrade GM- & a new steering wheel as well. Nice C4 man.

  • was your intake ported, when you ran the 12.96? i have an 89 vette that im getting into modding right now, currentyl has a zz4 engine in it with edelbrock hi flo runners and manifold (unported).

  • Alright kool man thanks ...Cuz i was going to buy some headers and was stuck rather or not if i should run stright pipes or if i should keep the stock look but redo it...Plus i didn't want to spend money and it not give me wut i want to see... anyhow thanks again..
