@rajuncadiens it was blanco last 5N match. this match was a transition between the french dominance of the 80's with blanco, berbizier, mesnel, or lagisquet... and a new english side with carling, guscott or moore
won it again in '92. Great side. Only losing the world cup final v Australia is the only lowpoint for that great side. The game has certainly changed a lot since though...
This was an outstanding England team. Comparing generations is always tough, but I think they could hold their own against anyone. Awesome front row, second row and backrow, never ever took a backward step in 91.
@solefthanded2 ha, funny that you are still upset. it was 21 years ago, let it go !

I think this was Blanco's last Five Nations Match I believe.

England's tactics against Scotland were unworthy of such an august association as the ERFU. Dirty bastards...

Why would Blanco want to keep the ball? I hope he gave it to one of the England lads in the dressing room afterwards.

Don't really like how he says England were "determined not to repeat the mistake of 1990"
They didn't make any mistakes, the played very well but were soundly beaten by Scotland and the Scots deserved to win the Grand Slam.
