-Skopje is capital and largest city in the Republic of Macedonia.
It was known from the Roman period under the name Scupi.
On 26 July 1963 eighty percent of the city was destroyed by the earthquake.

Skopje, my beloved skopje! Skopje is the most beautiful city i have ever been in! I love skopje, more than my homebirth country, norway! Its something special in this city, makes my heart beat , makes my mind go crazy, all the history, the people, food, culture, the macedonians and albanians, i dont know, i just cant think of any other place to live! :)

Macedonia is not apart of Greece. Yes, they named one of their provinces Macedonia, but if you take a look at the ethnic background of the people in that area of Greece, you'll see they are SLAVIC-SPEAKERS. Im a history major. I'm educated plenty. Thanks.
