I did not intend to cause offence. you state that "one of the greatest jazz composers ever" do you consider him in the same mould as Duke Ellington, Thad Jones, Gil Evans? I certainly don't.

Sounds good. My high school jazz band played this at our last performance. I personally think it would sound better faster and if the drummer used toms during the fill before the trumpet solo.
