Russell Brand takes some time out in Denver to talk to a group of homeless people about the way Jack Kerouac describes them in his phenomenal novel 'On the Road'. After an insightful conversation about life on the streets, drug dependency and religion, Russell Brand lands himself in deep water with a local social worker when he gives away his copy of Jack Kerouac's novel and a fistful of dollars. What do you think of his actions and the social worker's reaction? Post a comment below and let us know your thoughts on this video.

  • @aeidanlea Well he also gave them money but bloody hell If your on crack your gonna get that crack one way or another.

Also reader I am not speaking from personal experience.

  • @DonMega187 yeah its the drugs fault. you dont have to get into drugs its a decision. So if you want to be homeless smoke crack.

  • @aeidanlea

I think you missed the bit where they were give money of which they can buy drugs.

  • @LoveMe4aReason1 typically it's the drug's fault. even if they got welfare they waste it all on drugs. it's an addiction. even u could be susceptible to the circumstances. if u never tried then u don't know if it would also rule ur life, so best not to even try

  • @aeidanlea yeah u missed the giving of the money ;)

  • @SarahLeeAnn

I couldn't agree with you more Sarah. I came to the same conclusion on my own a few years ago. You never truly own anything to begin with, they are simply just possessions so don't get to attached because you can't take them into the next realm anyway. I'd rather be with the ones I love and dirt poor than live the lonely shallow existence of someone who thinks they have everything just because they can buy it. You can't buy happiness no matter how wealthy you are.

  • isn't it just like a "Social Worker" to know what's best for the poor homeless people.

  • @duerksjv thats cool.

  • @LoveMe4aReason1 That's the most fucking ignorant thing I've heard in a while.
