@Sablicious This film is set at 60's, 70's and 80's. Many things has changed since this story happened. As USA and Europe is now looking for jobs and Brazil is exporting money, the situation of favelas becomes really really better. (sorry, my English is not very good)

Great film. I wish I could see it on netflix's streaming. I would have to say this and puncture are in my top 10 greatest films ever. Puncture is really good if you haven't seen it.
