The video for 'Parallels' is a symbolic journey that explores connections between my home life in a village in England and a visit to Auschwitz.
The short film follows the parallel lines of the railway track from Auschwitz, the Nazi death camp, to Brookwood cemetery, which houses the graves of thousands of soldiers who gave their lives to bring the war, and ultimately the concentration camps, to a close.
My visits to these places put into context parallels to my own life that I had never previously considered, and though on one level they are worlds apart, they also show how all of our lives, our decisions, and our paths have consequences and impacts far beyond the obvious, and for far longer than we can possibly imagine.
