I like my psyllium husk with cold green tea, honey, lime and coconut cream all in a blender. It really helps with the texture

@ninjajesus81 I DO know what lactose intolerance is first hand and unless we've all turned into cows we DO NOT have the enzyme required to process dairy beyond infancy and certainly NOT from another species. You can't even get calcium from dairy either and it inhibits iron absorption. It's naturally acidic prime conditions for disease since what you don't flush out sits there growing bacteria and yes cancer loves bacteria. Try doing some research from sources not supplied by the dairy council!

@smartverity You don't know what lactose intolerance is. Lactose intolerance is the inability to digest the lactose sugar present in milk due to the absence or inadequacy of the lactase enzyme. The reaction lactose intolerant people get to drinking milk are indigestion and gas or some other immediate and short lasting gastrointestinal reactions.
Cancer seems to be the catch-all disease for people who condemn the consumption of something. Don't be one of those people.

@ninjajesus81 Not true we're ALL lactose intolerant by design and DO NOT have the enzyme required to process dairy from another species. The difference is some people have an immediate reaction to it where as the majority have a slow reaction to it, usually long term disease such as cancer. Unless you are a cow you are not designed to consume dairy and even a cow is weaned off dairy and onto greens. Nature is the perfect teacher we are the poor students because we don't heed the lessons.

@smartverity A lot of people are lactose intolerant, but a lot of people aren't. Those of us who aren't have the lactase enzymes and are perfectly suited to consume dairy products.

Soy isn't dairy

@lub783 Having it with dairy completely defeats the object.
how do you avoid gas and bloat. Ive been on husk, does the powder cause less bloating and gas?

@FroopieLoopies Not typically, but you can also take digestive enzymes every day, and at every meal, as well probitotics, and that will help reduce gas and bloating. Also, eat more whole foods, and less processed foods. Limiting meat and dairy will also help.

@magicadespell56 Soy milk (or similar) because psyllium is like outmeal kind of, and it goes down easier that way. :) Thank you for the props.
