...and be off putted by the very, very dodgy sci-fi effects that in no way compliment. Any improvement to this is in my opinion a god send. Unless you are so anally retentive you can cope with changes to set formulaic structure!

Sorry but this does,nt work.you cant improve on the original and best.thank god the dvds did not go down this road.i mean taken to the limit,we should all be adding more color and extra effects to the mona lisa.but we dont.so why this craze with updating old tv shows.

I cant see how comparing a remastered digital effects on a series that most needed it can be possibly compared to re-touching the Mona Lisa!!! Given that the current effects replacements are not as good as they could be, and that may be part of the problem, but still any idiot can see the vast improvement made to the original star trek series. So why not Blakes 7? I personaly find it so cringing to watch a very well written sci-fi show with brilliant acting and characters, and...

@olmecslayer Hi there well the fact is none of these updates have worked.star wars.dr. who dvds,and star trek.all looked out of place and did not in my view work.trying to marry 21st tech with 1970s film/tv just does,nt work.when was the last time jane austins novels came out with 2 extra chapters and a new character.never and they never will and thats my point we should stop trying to rewrite the past.it does not need it.let it stand on its own feet.we do agree on this b7 best sci/fi show ever

So now your trying to compare Blakes 7 to Jane Austin? Where will it end? My god man! Anyway, I do admit Lucas's revamp of the star wars trilogy was a train wreck, granted. But I and am sure many others agree that the Star trek original remasterings were an improvement, but then, it all depens on how you want to watch your cgi's, if you prefer to see dodgy washing up liquid bottles hanging from threads, then that's your business...

@olmecslayer Hi again you like new effects,i dont.simples really.its called a different point of view.and as for washing up bottles,you know i could swear i have never seen one of those outside of button moon.check out the b7 effects in ultraworld.their flawless.not sure why were having an argument anyway.i mean its not like they are going to redo all the b7 effects in our lifetimes is it?.the next thing you,ll be telling me is that peter davidson was not THE best doctor who ever. :)

Starnge that you should mention button moon and Peter Davison, as I believe he actually sung button moon. I have never met someone who claims that Peter Davidson was the best doctor who. And besides, Tom Baker was the best anyway.

So I am guessing you didnt like Battlestar Galactica the mini series either then? Still stuck on the original series I suspect, with the dodgy effects. Give it a chance! I once felt like you, then I watched the first series and became hooked

@olmecslayer Hi again cant comment on the new battlestar series.i have them all on dvd,but have not seen any of them yet.but as for the original show...that was terrible.a poor mans star wars.yes thats right davidson did sing the button moon song with his wife at the time,sandra dickinson.as for tom baker sure he was good,but peter was better,and is still the best.only tennant comes close.think you will find a lot of people share that view,not just me.matt smith is hope less. :)
