Another slice of Grandaddy atmospherics, with a clip from the movie Tomorrow, from which the opening audio clip was taken. First released, I think, on an EP called Machines Are Not She.

Tomorrow is a truly great little film (barring the odd lapse in continuity, which it doesn't take an eagle eye to spot!) - but maybe you have to have an iron grip on your emotions, and can get over Robert Duvall's accent... We join it as Fentry helps the wandering pregnant stranger into his shed of a home, having just found her passed out on the cold, hard ground...

  • I always envisioned the woman being more attractive and finely dressed, the man taller, broader and more grizzled. Arm in arm surmounting an ice covered mountain side. The illusion is shattered. I liked the scene in my head much better.

  • @1solutionIsolation Give it time - and, watch the film 'Tomorrow' - this could grow to replace the old image, for sure!

  • @nortonius I'll try and get a hold of the movie. Good work on posting up so many grandaddy songs by the way. Go progress chrome and dying brains are two of my favourites as well.

  • @1solutionIsolation Movie's on DVD for Region 1 (North America) only as far as I know, but it's cheap and you can watch it on a computer wherever you are, though you may have to toggle the region setting to Region 1 in your DVD player software. Good choice of favourites!

  • @nortonius what are some of your favorite songs by Grandaddy?

  • @imgordonfreeman My favourite Grandaddy songs are Go Progress Chrome and Our Dying Brains as definite can't-do-without-them songs, then in no particular order Jed's Other Poem, Levitz, Taster, You Are My Sunshine (rare cover), Lost On Yer Merry Way, A.M. 180, Summer Here Kids, Hewlett's Daughter, Everything Beautiful Is Far Away, The Warming Sun, Hand Crank Transmitter, Protected From The Rain – and everything else…!

  • Funny, i always imagined the guy black :o).

And always thought he was helping a "high class" white lady...

  • I always wondered which movie thataudio clip came from! For some reason, I had imagined that the woman speaking was wearing a hoop skirt...

  • thanx for the video!

  • love this song :]
