  • Los Angeles is the unlikeliest place for a country music show! Hee Haw was filmed in Bakersfield I think.

  • @Mufaso1000 Town Hall Party had some Rockabilly stars too... such as Gene Vincent, Eddie Cochran, and of course, The Collins Kids. Hee Haw was Nashville-based, buddy.

  • I wonder what show this is from?

  • @Mufaso1000 "Town Hall Party" was broadcast locally on KTTV on Saturday nights in Los Angeles. The reason the shows still exist is that they were recorded on kinescope for re-broadcast on the Armed Forces Network. So, you can thank the Pentagon.

  • Yup, thanks to the Pentagon, but moreover, thanks to Gatorrock787 for uploading these rare clips. If you'd like to know more about Town Hall Party, which, by the way, took place in Compton, CA., read "Town Hall Party" on Wikipedia........Bob Wills is still the King!!

  • Long time voclist for Bob Wills with the "Fred Rose" tune.....

  • @Gatorrock787 : Hee Haw was filmed in Nashville? I stand corrected.

  • nice one Al - real cool band !
