Saw Andy live in Cavan back in August....a true legend! Does anyone know where you can get a recording of this song?

@sionnyn He is not a "pop” artist.
He is in a category called Folk, which has many amazing artists among their ranks.
They go unheralded simply (and thankfully) because they are not hyped.
I would love it if he sold more records than lady Gagga, but that was never a possibility.
He is in a niche market that recognises quality and excellence. Don't worry; I think his music has "legs" and will still be played in our great grandchildren’s time.

Amazing, truly great talent, a breath of fresh air from that damned monkey music we are suffered to endure today. Nic Jones also did a most memorable version of this back in 78. Thanks for the upload Bilko.

Why is this man so unrecognised as the genius that he is?

I had one of those bouzoukis in the 80s, very hard to balance on my knee on stage. I got rid of it and stuck to flatbacks which are easier to hold! I've been playing Andy's tunes since 1972-odd and I still despair of ever coming close to the master!

Jeez Bilko thanks for this, Andy's a fuckin legend and I never heard this before.....it's just as good as it gets!

Is that an bouzouki?

the holy trinity...
That double bouzouki sound is great - and Paul Brady is no slouch either. I've watched this about 10 times since finding it today!

@Bortherhood Yes is is. One of the bowl-back styles. You can buy a "marquetry" bouzouki of a similar nature for a reasonable price.
