This is f##king hilarious! A real comedy of errors.How many litres of oil did he bathe those pistons in.He should tear that engine down again and check for bent connecting rods from hydraulic locking it twenty times.Either that or he had the plug leads on arse-up and hoped nobody noticed as he distracted them with slight of hand whilst pretending to de-oil it through the plug holes,then putting the leads back on in the correct order.

You are commenting on John Twist, the highest regarded MG guru in the USA. The engine he is starting was completely rebuilt in a two day seminar. He had mentioned before I started the video that he would start the engine on his work table top for all of the participants to observe. He does not practice any unsafe procuedures in his shop in a normal rebuild. In his 35 year plus career as working on MGs only he has rebuilt thousands of engines.

He had mentioned before I started the video that he would start the engine on his work table top for all of the participants to observe. He does not practice any unsafe procuedures in his shop in a normal rebuild. In his 35 year plus career as working on MGs only he has rebuilt thousands of engines.
