On 6th January 2010, Barchester responded to a report by the Royal College of Physicians and British Society of Gastroenterology condemning the use of artificial feeding tubes in care homes.

The report alleged artificial feeding was used inappropriately to ease the workload of care home staff.

Mike Parsons, Chief Executive of Barchester, strongly refutes these allegations on Channel 4 Evening News at 7pm.
