@marvy1118 No, dimbulb. It's just a focus for your meditation -- what you are suposed to concentrate on during that time. You can't just meditate in a blank (unless you are of a low intellect).
Try finding out the reason for things, my child, before you criticise blindly. For, if you do, you sim[ply seem young, thoughtless and foolish.
Can you give me any insight as to why it's necessary to form the syllables with your lips during the silent part? I did this meditation earlier today as part of a global event and during that part I kept the fingers moving without moving the lips.
How bout if I chant "Bwa ha ha." Sheesh, what a crock. It's amazing how gullible people are. It's just incredible. Each finger and each sound has so much meaning! Who knew?! Not bashing the efficacy of relaxation techniques, though, it's just all the hokum that goes along with it.
