Video description:
Bantu Knots also knows as "duuduubs" in my language (Somali) is a protective hairstyle and it's great for the hair, but how does your hair look after you take them out? Can it be worn out? Will it look nice? I was experimenting and trying to find out the answers to these questions when I filmed this video. I was surprised, to say the least. Watch the whole video to see the final results and tell me what you think about it...k? Thanks! Enjoy! :)

UPDATE on July 12, 2010: Since a lot of you have been asking me if it's better to do the bantu knots on dry or wet hair, I decided to try both and I promised to report back to you guys. In this video it was done with dry hair and as you can see, I was very pleased with the results. However, when I tried it on wet hair, it didn't turn out so nice. It came out all frizzy and kind of tangled when when I took out the bantu knots! So if you're going to do this, definitely do it on dry hair to get the results I got in this video! Good luck! :)

  • @duvalcountydabangem

im sorry if i offended you. I was just surprised she looks like my mother, and i don't know what your talking about with west africans. My parents are indians whose ancestors migrated to the Carribean. My skin is lighter then this woman from my father and my hair is very soft. It looks like your just trying to take a stab at another race. I didn't say anything about her beauty. She is very beautiful and no one can deny that. Why do you feel the need to compare?

  • Wow your African? My mom Is guyanese Indian and she looks just like you exactly from the eyes nose and mouth

  • In my country we call these corkscrews and my grandmother would do this in order for our hair to dry. Your hair came out really nice

  • SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO PRETTY!!!!!!

  • So pretty

  • Your hair really turned out nice! And you are absolutely beautiful!

  • @Yacquubtohow True.. he is an idiot.

  • @CushiticSomalianMale Shut up already, you are race obsessed loser. Not every Somali has the same skin tone idiot. There is diversity. You are an idiot and need to stop posting so much crap on youtube.
