I'm sure Lara is not trying to imitate Celine. She is much too smart to know that it wouldn't do her any good, she is amazing anyway.Let's not be ridiculous, she has a perfect voice. She sings from her soul. She's got the whole package;)

@barleggero I like what you said, Lara's versatile and has a great music sense and sensibility.

Her version is better than Céline's. Her phrasing is much more artistic and besides, it makes much more sense in terms of how you would "say" these words. This isn't a power ballad for the singer to scream her lungs out just for the sake of it and that's the point she makes. She shows here and there she can belt out a couple of notes, but she doesn't make the song about that, which is what Céline does most of the time (and which I also love).

C'est triste a lire....la ou Lara Fabian chante une belle chanson ,Monsieur Brel ,lui , en fait un chef d'oeuvre.......
-
Une version simple, mais avec vérité.

Celine Dion is a great singer, each singer has their own style but Lara Fabian singing style is more intense and soul touching........

@alan30200 in french we have a saying that goes like this: hopefully, ridiculous doesn't kill...
and that's why you're still alive!
This comment has received too many negative votes show
Why is she singing Céline Dion's version, even with the same piano arrangements? She is Lara Fadion, the singer with no personality.
