Using the IZ3D anaglyphic Driver, it is possible to view emulated games through 3D glasses. The Driver (which is Windows only) can be found here:

http://www.iz3d.com/t-driverlicense.aspx

Played on Project 64 using Jabo's Direct3D8 1.6 plugin. Recorded using Camstudio.

I came, I played, I sucked. I know, I'm not very good at this game, but I've only played it for a few days. I meant this to be a tech demo.

Of course, red-cyan glasses are required for this video(although the driver also allows yellow-blue).

The music is "The Dark Side of Phobos" by Daniel Baranowsky, and can be found at http://doom.ocremix.org. As I couldn't record audio without slowdown, this has to do for now.

  • Can this work with ePSXe running Pete's OpenGL2?

  • @purm1287 Ah, the gold ol' wizard. I generally have it shut off (do so in the driver menu), and just press Num lock to turn the 3d on when I need it. The wizard is annoying as hell.

If this still produces a white screen, then that probably means you have an incompatible driver, or Iz3D is being finicky (it happens a lot:it was especially painful with both this emulator and Dolphin). Beyond this, I can't offer any help, since there are numerous issues that can arise depending on setup.

Well i meant the picture for the anaglyph setup. you know the step 1 put your glasses on and then 2. can you see the 3d image.

  • @purm1287 Only for one of the modes you do (it specifically says "Iz3d monitor" as the output. The anaglyph mode you do not. I, for example, have a really cheap Acer monitor). This will work with any monitor: the only thing that should fail is one of the two tests that IZ3D gives in its driver. The dynamic test, involving a rotating logo, works with any monitor.

  • @Luigi2024

Yeah, I read I need an Iz monitor or 120Hz monitor. Mine is 60 Hz so I´m a little upset about it.

  • @purm1287 Hmmm... I guess the only thing is to make sure that you have the latest DirectX drivers installed (search for "Directx Download" in your favorite search engine). Also, one of the two tests in the driver will NOT work without having the special IZ3D monitor (which, oddly enough, isn't made anymore).

yeahalready got through that however in the setup i cant see 3d and the test image just looks as a white square, I read something about runtime error, any idea of how can I fix it?

  • @purm1287 It should say "Anaglyph" (free). However, I believe all of them point to the same driver: you can (and likely must) also choose the output mode when you install it.

  • how do you know which output option to selct for the download?

  • damn...
