Eric's connection to theater is actually in the technical aspect. He runs lights, switching board, load-in of sets, so forth. He does not perform. Eric's intelligence is just from him being smart, really. I chose him because he is a friend and I knew he'd enjoy it.

Another question, Brian: did you pick Eric because he works in the theatre (you seemed to allude this in the beginning) because folks who work there often have good sense of imagination (not to mention, intelligent)?

Never seen the 'pump' idea before, that was cool. As usual I seem to have questions, lol, just curious when people open their eyes but in trance is it the same as just waking them up or is it like a dazed sleepy thing?
Anyway, wonderful vid as usual. Yay for new volunteers ^_^

Having someone open his eyes often leaves the subject feeling quite awake but very relaxed. A few tend to feel groggy, but not many in my experience. You need to take care not to be too firm in how you bring the subject back to you so he remains deep in trance state. Note that I say, "Open your eyes" and not "Wake up". It's all in the wording.
