    the real story was about mozart. salieri was his mentor. a very huge task back then. They also died in their thirties back then and belived in every ghost they imagined they saw. Knowing history it's no way salieri had anything to do with mozarts death

    The movie starts and ends with Salieri, it is some time before we even see Mozart and he Salieri the storyteller. Everything is told from his perspective. I don't think the story was about Mozart, I think it is about the life of Salieri. Certainly we know him far more about him at the end than we ever get to know Mozart.
