Can you tell me how is that version of "There's no bussiness like show bussiness" called? I mean the instrumental background music without people singing.

Every theatre performer gets choked up when you hear "They smile when they are low!" so true!

That's national anthem of the entire entertainment world.. I get a rush, and I get teary-eyed, just thinking of all my friends who're part of it all..My wife works for a company that makes costumes for shows..Yea, man..There's no business like it..

I didn't think it was freckles, I thought it was just dirt! Although there is a scene in the movie during her "makeover" where she is rubbing something on her face. Maybe it was lemon juice which is supposed to make freckles disappear. A great actress and singer, in any case.

she sings my facorite version

Am I the only one that thinks Betty Hutton is alot prettier with her "dark county" look?
Seriously, freckles suit her. She just looks to glamorous with all that make up, but here, without the make up or hair style, she's beautiful

I don't think so. Judy Garland is better.

Next to Ethel Merman's version, Betty Hutton sings the best version of this song.
I had forgotten about Judy's original appearance and version. Must agree she is really good.I like Betty's version since it seems more rustic and rough as the character she was playing. Judy was the classy one and seemed more delicate than the rough and tumble Betty --for the character. I love Judy though and could listen to her all the time.

Good performance for Ziegfeld's theory "There's no business like Show business"
