Highway bar mount. Olympus FE-310 digital/vid. cam. Taken on roughest roads in town to check for stability and clarity only.. TURN DOWN VOLUME! I did not muffle the microphone...so there is a lot of static and wind sound..

  • thanks Holly... I dont wear a helmet unless a particular state requires one.. and Maine doesn't (as yet).. As to how long... I have yet to determine that.. I shot one for over 30 minutes the other day... The area will look so much different in about a month or so once spring actually kicks in.. right now just a lot of browns...very little green.

  • If you watch the lower right corner you can see the tip of my fender and get an idea of just how bumpy the roads really were...I am very satisfied with the overall stability of this mount .. I used just the head from my small tripod and mounted it to a stainless steel rod and atatched it via zipties to highway bar..

  • Well first of all, Grizz, you sure do live in beautiful little place. :) Secondly, rather than mounting the cam on the highway bar, can you mount it to your helmet instead, so it becomes a helmet-cam? How long does your camera record video for? Would having the cam on the helmet make any difference?

Awesome vid, my friend. Glad you were able to get out on the bike! :)
